Long delay when MacBook Pro wakes and attempts to login to WiFi

Hello,

I read several posts regarding a similar problem that I have, however the post would no longer accept any new posts. So, I am explain what I am experiencing when my MacBook pro wakes.

I have the Apple Watch 2 with the latest watchOS 4.2.3 and I have a MacBook Pro with the latest macOS 10.13.3 and finally my iPhone has 11.2.6. This issue reared it's ugly head about a month ago and until now I never bothered digging into it. When my Mac is in sleep mode whether it's from the lid being closed or after the screen saver has expired its time and then gone to sleep when I wake my Mac I noticed it searches for the WiFi and takes a few moments to connect. When I click on the WiFi icon I can see my WiFi router in the list and even if I click on it, it takes a few moments to finally connect. If I shut off the Bluetooth and wait for the system to sleep again and then log back in, the WiFi connects almost instantly. I have done this a few times to make sure that I'm not making a mistake.

Does Apple have eyes on this? Or does anyone have a solution besides the one I did?

Thank you

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3), 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7

Hello again.

I fixed my issue. I unsync'd my watch from the phone and then restored my phone to new and then recovered it from a recent back up. I also unchecked the option to unlock my Mac with the watch. Once everything was recovered and re'sync'd the WiFi connects almost immediately when I open the lid. So it seems as though on of the three options fixed my issue.

Something you did or installed or started using in this past month is the reason for this if we follow your logic. It is common for Wi-Fi to take 10-30 seconds to reconnect. Every computer I have exhibits this behavior. The delay is slightly longer after continued usage than when it was new. It will also be affected by the network to which it is connecting.
