I switched over to a iphone 8 from an iPhone 6s about two weeks ago and now it says my phone hasnt been backed up .

Why does it say theres a problem with the server

This message is associated with iCloud backups.


iCloud backups occur when your device is:

  • Powered on
  • Connected to a power source
  • Connected to Wi-Fi
  • Locked


iCloud: Back up your iOS device to iCloud


If you satisfy the first four conditions above, you may do:


Settings > [Your Apple ID] > iCloud > iCloud Backup > Back Up Now
