More Dashboard Widgets in High Sierra

As I can't reply to the question directly because the discussion has been closed to replies:High Sierra no longer has the 'More Widgets' option for dashboard. However, they are still available (for now), here:

dashboard is gone in Mojave what happened to the nice feature dashboard? In high sierra, i could slide to the left to get to my stock tickers, calculator, weather app, etc but in Mojave that seems to be gone? When i take a look in the 'hot corner' section (settings > screen savers), it is still there as an option. Is this a bug?

What is a widget? Is a widget an application? Dashboard contains "widgets" on MacAir. What are they; applications?
