Why am I missing dictation in my keyboard settings and keyboard?

Ever since an update ( don’t remember what one, but it was a while ago ) I’ve been missing that little microphone that you can click and say something and the phone types it out for you instead of asking Sri to send a message.

This is a regular board, see I had to google it. This is mine...

I’ve checked in the settings, I don’t even have it there...

Can’t scroll down because there’s nothing there.

Does anyone else have this issue or a resolution???

Yes I have. The dictation setting isn’t there as seen in screenshot.

Yes. I use Sri to send messages because I don’t have that microphone

Siri also has to be turned on to have that microphone and you have to have an internet connection.

Have you checked Settings > General > Keyboard > Enable Dictation = ON

What version of iOS are you running? If it is 11.2.6 then under Settings you should have Siri & Search. If you do not then check your restrictions.

On that page slide the switch to not allow and then back to allow then restart your iPhone. After that check Settings and see if Siri & Search reappears.
