I want to get a 3.0 flash drive and would like to plug it into a hub. If I get a 3.0 hub, will it work with both USB ports on my 2015 Macbook Pro? Thanks!

Yes. It's been at least USB 3.0 since the mid-2012 MBP models (Retina or not). Of course the latest ones have Thunderbolt 3, which is USB-C (3.1) compatible and would probably need a USB-C hub that has USB-A (3.0) ports to do what you're looking for.
