How Do I Insert a Photo To a Numbers Cell?

I'm just starting out to build an inventory spreadsheet of my art collection. In addition to the usual fields -- Artist, Title, Description, Comments, ... -- I want a photo of each item.

When I drag a file to the cell the image ends up the same height as the cell -- ie tiny. (that little dot in cell D2)

When I click on the "media" button and chose a photo it ends up huge and floating over the whole sheet. (The watercolour). And I have no idea what to do with.

Obviously I'll want to sort the sheet so the image sorts with the other information.

I'd be happy if the row was two or three inches high and the images filling the cell.

What am I missing?
