Question: should or need I install malware bytes anti-malware program software?

Recommendations or advice as to whether or not to install the above?

FWIW, I use Malwarebytes for Mac in "on-demand" mode ... which is the same as what you get after the trial period expires. I do not use or would recommend any AV or AM apps that run in background. However, it is equally important that you run periodic scans as Macs can get infected with adware.

It isn't a requirement, but it is a good tool should you do something wrong and infect yourself with malware.
