Question: Embedded images on e-mail showing as cid:

Whenever I try to send an image, the user gets a cid:XXXXXXX instead.


I've tried from gmail, mail, outlook. It doesn't matter if I click-and-drag from a website or from finder.


Any ideas?


By the way, using the most updated version of High Sierra, Mail for Mac...

I am using Rich Text as the normal setting for my messages. The message in question was not an html.

In a test, I just dragged a picture from Finder and dropped in the mail message and e-mailed to my gmail and my outlook.com. Both showed cid:
