I can't get mail to work with email (fairpoint.net)
I have added the account correctly, as per fairpoint instructions with the correct imap/pop settings,
correct incoming/outgoing host name and username
correct passwords. everything. Server port was the correct number,
SSL off as per instruction. .
And here's the thing. Emails are coming in but emails cannot be sent out. Some connection error....
Really need help figuring out how to fix it.
I am great at following instructions, so if someone could post what to do from here on out, to \fix this error. would be greatly appreciated.
Note this is on an iphone x with more current software update installed.

Also note I am a wireless retailer, (not customer care) (not repair or tech center) helping a customer set their phone up, so if you have no further suggestions as to how to fix this error, do you have an explanation I could give to Mr. Customer as to why he will not be able to use the pre-installed "mail" app to access his fairpoint.net email?
