Hand written notes on a PDF in a note disappears

On my IPad, I moved A PDF form from an email to a note. I tapped on the pdf in the note and began hand writing notes using an Apple Pencil. I tapped “done” in the upper left corner of the pdf and all that was written disappeared. Can it be restored?

Saved and reopened later taking more notes in the same document. When I have “done”, the new document saved missed part of my previous notes. Not all of them were missing. Mark up not saving Hi, i have an iPad with an Apple Pencil that I’ve been using since June to mark up PDFs. I find that if i exit the PDF and renter it only half? If the mark up saved, and if I then write on it and leave the PDF, only the new notes will save and the rest will disappear when I re open it from then. Is is this a function of mark up, to not be able to continue to do mark ups and have them saved? Or is it an iCloud thing? Or my iPad thing?

Pdf hand written notes I use a PDF that I open on my iPad, I write the information I need and save it then email, next client I use same pdf, I erase all notes and fill out new info save and email it, every time I erased I thought is was going back to original however it is not it is clean for me to start again however it is loading more MB, this particular form was once 4.4Kb it is now at 34.6MB meaning - I can’t use it on email. I lost the original pages/word form (before was saved into pdf) question. Is there any way I can go to this pdf erase all hand written notes and Data to revert it to original so I can “start again”? help is Wellcome thanks Filipe
