Why do you believe your device is infected to begin with???Explain what you are seeing in detail so that correct solution can be given.One of the best pieces of advice has been given in prior posts first do not panic and do something that will only make it worse…..

You saw an advertisement.

An advertisement that lied.

Websites and web ads cannot scan your device or computer.

If the websites could scan your storage, that’s be a catastrophe. If websites could access your data to perform a scan, they wouldn’t bother with a scan, and would just upload all of your private data and all of your passwords.)

In the future and I would encourage you to keep using this forum for help…go up to right hand corner and click on Post…it will then open up a page where you follow all the prompts and you can ask your own separate questions and you have a better chance of getting the help that you need. Just know the messages you are getting are not “real” as long as you don’t click on them and give out any information. Take care.

It is still a scam. It will always be a scam. It will never not be a scam. It is always a scam. There is nothing that will ever change that this is not a scam. The scam will continue ad infinitum until everyone realizes it is always a scam.

You realize the options it's giving you are "delete 27 viruses that website wants you to delete" or "website will delete your contacts"? That should be a red flag to you that you can't trust said website because nothing good would make such a demand and follow it up with a threat. It's important to not get your emotions all mixed up in these types of things because that's exactly what they want. People who are scared nervous or upset are less likely to notice something no matter how obvious. Have your contacts been deleted?

There are a whole lot of scams around. Causing panic—to instill fear—is one of the best ways to hack us, too.

Web sites of any kind can't "go around". They're fixed to the server they're running from. But there are hundreds, if not thousands of these types of scam pages.

You do not have 3 viruses, it's a pure scam, though a good looking scam, nobody out there can tell if you have any viruses.

There is a problem with Kijiji, not your computer. I see the same bogus message from their site. It also sometimes affects eBay Canada (owner of Kijiji).

I got it too, and the big thing is, when you are trying to figure these out, is that when you look at the url, it say's "not secure" - and apple is secure. Just an FYI. =)
