"Your system is infected with (3) Viruses” when opening a Safari tab

I don’t know why you feel the need to argue with me on this! I responded to a message, saying I had the same problem, and stating what I did. That’s all.

That wasn't an argument. It was just a statement of fact. I'm not sure why you can't understand that.

I got a popup that says “Your system is infected with (3) Viruses” and then says to call apple support 1-866-726-****. Has anyone ever seen this before or is this more fishing?

An Apple rep suggested the free Malwarebytes software to clean the computer. I used it it this time and it quarantined and removed the virus. There is a pay version, but the free version works fine.

had the same thing and a chat window appears with a fake apple tech asking to take a look at the problem and sending you a software to take over the computer remotely. then he says in order to fix he needs your CC info.

my computer got infected with JS:Trojan.Cryxos.3699 and I hade to uninstall flash and block pop ups but I still have the problem even after installing Bitdefender

How is that better than the free solutions that don't result in software on your computer that you don't need? Especially as the software you mention will not prevent the user from installing adware.

Its phishing, Just look at the url. Thats the dead giveaway, The make the website look like the apple one,then block of features and make a pop up, they literally lock your computer. The url is usually just made up of million upon thousands of numbers.
