Apple says iCloud full, but it's not

I keep my iCloud storage minimal--Contacts, Calendar, a couple spreadsheets, Notes, Keychain, Find My device. Music and Photos are stored elsewhere, as are the rest of my files .

Apple keeps sending me warnings that I'm running out of iCloud storage, and their report says I have a total of 49GB stored, 44GB of which is docs, by far the largest part of my 50GB of storage. In fact, I have only 25MB of docs, which is verified on all my devices and on iCloud.com. My total storage equals less than 6GB. How can I get this situation fixed?

I should add that I've read every article and every relevant post, done what is doable, and the problem persists. Thanks for any help you can provide! Screen shots follow: User uploaded fileUser uploaded fileUser uploaded fileUser uploaded fileUser uploaded file

Other people have posted similar problems and after contacting iCloud support, found it was a server problem. iCloud support reset everything. You may have to politely ask for a level 2 person.

If necessary contact iCloud Support. You may have to try twice.
