apple watch series 1 on os 4.2.3 battery drain

i have they series 1 apple watch and have no issues with it what so ever then this weekend the battery life suddenly dropped i am lucky if it lasts 8-10 hrs i have had the same setup since i got it. I have made sure i have all the latest software updates on both phone and watch.
