I frequently crop video or use images in my FCP video. However, I was looking for guidelines to know when the pictures is centered vertically and horizontally. Is there any such feature?
FCPX has centering guides (Snapping might have to be turned on) when you have the Tranform tools turned on in the Viewer. You can use the onscreen control and snap it to the center of the "screen".
Is there something else to check? I can't see the guides and I have snap toggled on:

Drag the image by the center position point. That activates the snapping and the center guides.
