Music player freezing on iPhone 7+

I’ve been running into a lot of problems with my music player on my iPhone 7+. Whenever I shuffle my entire library I will hit a random song that will partially freeze my music player. What I mean by this is I can continue to skip songs while the device is locked. When I unlock my iPhone the title of the song will be listed correctly but with the wrong album cover and NONE of the buttons work on the touchscreen. The only way to skip the song is to lock the device and skip on that screen. I am unable to add the song to a playlist because none of the buttons work when the device is unlocked. I am forced to only use the lock screen music player or force close the app. There is no error in any of the music files because I cannot recreate the issue when I pass the song that froze the music player previously. Most of my songs are from my Apple Music subscription. Any advice would be appreciated.
