Just wondering if iTunes can display album artwork that is stored in WAV files.
I know media players such as Foobar2000, VLC Media Player, MusicBee, etc... can do this, but when I tried with iTunes, I didn't have any luck.

iTunes cannot read metadata embedded in a WAV file. But it can display artwork for the WAV track. To add art, right-click the track in the library, go to Artwork tab, and add the picture.
For WAV files, iTunes stores the art in the library, not in the track, so if you now use the track in another player the art will not be there.

Ah yes, tried it and you are correct. I do have WAV tracks that display art, but am apparently misremembering how it got there.
Here is the official word from iTunes for Mac: Add artwork to songs and other items :
"You must convert WAV files to another format before you can add artwork to them."
I don't believe art added like this sticks. You can sometimes get art downloaded from the store to be associated with .wav files, or alternatively if you have some non-wav files as part of the same album then art will generally show.
