Apple play map volume

there are few similar questions that haven’t been answered.

I have a USB connection between my iPhone 7 plus and my car’s Kenwood sat nav with Apple air play.

the volume control for Siri and mapping doesn’t exist. It’s incredibly loud. on the phone I have ringer volume at minimum and sound volume muted.

when I start map directions, the volume is at max. The kenwood volume only affects the radio/ usic volume. I need to adjust the map directions volume.

Volume on Apple Maps Nav while using Car Play So my volume while navigating on Apple Maps is so low that it is useful. It is fine if using with Bluetooth and navigating without CarPlay, but with CarPlay it is so soft so as to be almost useless. I can’t adjust the volume on the phone using the up button on the phone and turning up the volume on the car only makes the sound on the car louder but not the Nav. I have read numerous threads with nothing helpful to address it. I have an iPhone 11Pro running 15.4.1. No new updates are available. What do I do?

Volume controls in Apple Maps while using CarPlay with iOS 16 Before iOS 16, under Settings / Maps, there was a Navigation & Guidance control, which allowed you to adjust the volume of the CarPlay Apple Maps voice. I can’t find these controls in iOS 16. I’m trying to figure out why I can hear Apple Maps instructions from my iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 16.01) in our 2020 Prius Prime via CarPlay, but my wife’s iPhone 13 Pro (iOS 16) has no audible instructions when she uses her phone with CarPlay. The navigation display does connects to her phone via CarPlay and Apple Maps does display on the car’s display, there just aren’t any auditory instructions. There is no firmware/software update available for the navigations system on a Prius Prime 2020.

CarPlay Maps voice volume is TOO LOUD! Settings vol control does nothing— help! This is a question which seems to have been asked here (and all over the web) for several years: How can I get Siri to stop shouting directions at top volume? It actually seems to be getting louder lately! I’ll be listening to an audiobook at a normal volume. Then the voice direction jumps in, loudly enough to make pedestrians jump. Turning down the volume on the stereo of my 2019 Chevy Bolt (iPhone 12) only turns down the audiobook/radio. The navigation voice is as loud as ever. And btw— the same was true with my 2005 Scion Xb and an iPhone 6. YES, I’ve gone into Settings countless times, only to find that it’s always set for the lowest volume level. Why is this still a problem? This question has been out there for YEARS! Does anyone have a working solution?
