Akai advance 61 not working with Logic pro X

Hello guys,

First of all :

Macbook Pro/macOS high Sierra version 10.13.3

Processor : 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory : 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

So, I am facing a big issue with logic pro X (last update done) when using my akai advance 61 with or without VIP (as a normal Midi controller).

Bugs are more and more numerous. First, two keys don't make any sound since I have had the keyboard, C3 and E3. The keys are working as I have tested them on an other DAW. Also I press the button 'octave up/down' on the keyboard, those specific keys work, producing the sounds of the other octave. But then, the others keys supposed to produce the sound I want aren't working anymore (C2,E2 or C4,E4, depending if I press 'Octave up' or 'down').

I have been checking the controller assignments and everything I could with the Midi settings but I can't find anything wrong.

Also, some pads on the keyboard stop lighting and making sound for no reason, very randomly. I have to turn the keyboard down or unplug it to make it work again, but after few seconds (minutes when I am lucky), it stops working again. Not always the same pads, it changes. Sometimes the whole keyboard will stop working.

When using the keyboard with VIP, Logic pro closes and then shows the error message "logic unexpectedly quit.." It happens with almost every project I have been working on with at least one VIP track. It already was doing that when I was using a specific plugin "Bass Engine 2". But now it does it with VIP as well.

Finally, for a few days now, Logic will randomly stop working for no reason, I press play and a few seconds later it will press stop by itself.

I have been checking with Akai first, and have tested my keyboard on another DAW. Therefore, I know the keyboard is working normally and the problems come from Logic. But I have no clue about what it could be and your help will be more than appreciated.

Thank you for your answers,

Ben

I have been deleting these two files and it seems like the keyboard is working much better now.

However, I have lost a lot of functionalities in Logic that I actually need. For example, when I record a voice or any other audio track, I don't have any menu to open to give any treatment to what I have recorded. I can't normalise anymore, reverse, or anything else.

I can't duplicate any tracks anymore (midi or audio), which was very useful.

And with the eq, reverbs or any other plug in, I have to pick up the right effect from the general menu. I can't try them one after one with the arrows which don't exist anymore.

Is there any way to get back those functionalities and still have my keyboard working ?

Thanks a lot for your help
