my iCloud music libary doesn't update from MacBook to iPhone

I've tried switching everything off and on again, I've even reset my phone several times, leading me to have to download all my music again, and it still won't work, does the iCloud services have updates periods or down time or something, as it always seems to happen on a sunday, its quite frustrating, as it only updates when i turn iCloud music libary off and on again, it doesn't update automatically as its supposed to

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.3, also using a MacBook pro

This appears to be a common issue with iCML since the iOS 11.3 update. There is no fix for this, but there is a work around until Apple fixes this: just create a blank playlist on the iOS device. This forces a read/write with the library stored in iCloud, then all your changes will suddenly get pulled down. You have to do this every time, it's essentially a manual refresh now.

This is fixed.

The fix didn't show up on its own though, I had to sign out of iCloud on all my devices and restart them before logging back in.

I did this today and iCloud Music library syncs again. The same process didn't work a week ago

I've had the issue again on Saturday and Sunday, but currently it's back to being functional. I didn't bother logging out this time, seems the make no difference in the long run. They can't seem to get this working consistently, it's pretty crazy.

I'm hoping iOS 12 will improve everything, iOS 11.3 overall has been one of the worst updates ever.

yeah the best two temporary fixes have been making an empty playlist and adding another apple music song, forcing a refresh, neither are ideal honestly.

Thanks for your suggestion! Adding a song is so much easier than turning iCloud Music Library on and off. Ugh, I hope they fix this soon.

Totally agree with you. The more we do to let them know this is an issue on their end, the better it is as they'll deal with it and get it rectified. My case number, by the way, is 100498894563

Definitely been heard. Search “iCloud music library” on Twitter and filter on recent! This should get somewhere now and hopefully help those who experienced it intermittently prior to 11.3.
