I rented a movie and it isn't showing up.

I rented a movie on iTunes and it isn't showing up in the rentals section of my library and shows up as pending in my purchase history. What is happening?

iPad Air Wi-Fi + Cellular, Windows 10

Perhaps Apple were unable to take payment. See If your payment method is declined, or you have a billing issue with a previous purchase in the iTunes Store - Apple Support.
