What does repair account mean

I bought a brand new iPhone and while my back up was restorin go notice at the bottom of my messages it says messages in iCloud are currently disabled

repair account min blue

but I can’t click on it and I even tried turning it on and off

will not work

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 11.3, null

Messages in iCloud have always been disabled.


They may have existed in beta (unreleased) versions of iOS.


It sounds like perhaps you purchased your iPhone from some unauthorized source, or attempted to restore a backup from a beta software backup.

There are other threads on this well. It seems there is an issue where some users are getting this as part of the 11.3 standard update. It would appear, parts of the beta somehow bled into the release. It does give us a clue that messages are likely going to be included in the cloud, but when we don't know. Apple is going to have to help these folks out as it doesn't seem they did anything other than update to 11.3 the normal way.


For anyone dealing with this, I would recommend restoring your phone from backup, which should help get rid of this for you.
