What does repair account mean

I did as rockmyplimsoul suggested: Signing out of iCloud, resetting the iPhone, and signing back in.

So far so good...No more message. 🙂

I will try the same with my iPad Pro.

By the posts I've seen, signing out of iCloud, resetting the iPhone, and signing back in seems to cure the issue.

I had the same issue after upgrading to iOS 11.3. I had to sign out of my Apple account on the device, reboot the device, and sign back in. After that, the message disappeared. Good Luck!

Curious: If you go into Settings -> Apple ID -> iCloud, does Messages show up in the list of apps using iCloud?

Questions:

1) Other than the annoying message, has this affected how Messages works in any way?

2) If you see Messages in Settings -> Apple ID -> iCloud, what happens if you toggle that setting?

No man, it's a bug in the latest update and it prevents you from even receiving SMSs...Apple must do better

$20 says you're running an iOS beta.

If so, you can't get help here. Beta software can not be discussed in the public forums.

Messages in iCloud have always been disabled.

They may have existed in beta (unreleased) versions of iOS.

It sounds like perhaps you purchased your iPhone from some unauthorized source, or attempted to restore a backup from a beta software backup.

It's nothing to do with purchasing from some unauthorized source. The iOS cannot run on hardware that's not from Apple
