Phone X stuck on FaceTime call ending

Has anyone gotten an actual fix for this issue yet? I'm using an iPhone X and I've contacted support several times. The first time I was told to reset all my settings, that didn't work. The 2nd time I was told to restore my phone, still didn't help. After a 3rd time, I was told to take it in to get looked at in store! It's obviously a known issue and I don't know why they won't patch it. The only "fix" for now is hard resetting the phone each time this happens which is every other FaceTime call 😠 such a pain for such an expensive phone smh.

It’s not in the FaceTime section, go to SETTINGS then GENERAL, then SHUT DOWN all the way at the bottom. Don’t go near the FaceTime settings because it’ll freeze.

I did a reset on network settings and it worked. Mine got stuck on vibrating on whatsapp and couple of times on facetime.

this issue is literally blood boiling. If you don’t have somebody to look up the solution of pressing the volume up button, then down, then holding the home button, it may make you want to destroy the device. If your paying 1000 dollars for any device, glitches / annoyances like this should not occur. -iPhone XS Max user.

Not knowing what version of iPhone that you have, and you seem to have some issues with the newer way to reset your phone, see if this explanation helps.

If your screen is black or frozen, you might need to force restart your device. A force restart won't erase the content on your device. You can force restart your device even if the screen is black or the buttons aren't responding. Follow these steps:

• iPad models with Face ID: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Press and hold the Top button until the device restarts.
• iPhone 8 or later: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
• iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPod touch (7th generation): Press and hold both the Side (or Top) button and the Volume Down button for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo. 
• iPad with Home button, iPhone 6s or earlier, and iPod touch (6th generation) or earlier: Press and hold both the Side (or Top) button and the Home button for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

if it dosent let you restart you might just have to wait for it to die then just charge it up and start like normal

okay so this is all fine and great that i can scroll down the menu and force my phone to shut off to reset this; but after spending 1000$+ i should not have to do this and for the fact this has been reported basically since the phone came out i would like to know what apple is doing to remedy this problem.

Had same issues, Im using tmobile with this iphone x , and this is my third iphone x .

I tried hard reset, deleting FaceTime apps, reset all networks and contant ,swap new phone from apple store ,set it as new user ...

I got this phone 2days ago at apple store, now it dose the same thing with FaceTime calls... please help! FaceTime was the only benefit that I m choosing iphone...

Same for me. The good thing my girlfriend knew about the Shut Down option. And it worked.

Guess another option is to ditch FaceTime - we used Line and it was pretty good.

Any other suggestions. I guess Skype but my girlfriend says “so yesterday.....”. She is a pain sometimes........

You have to let your phone die

Me too... iPhone X 11.3. Must be an issue with the update, happened a few times now. They need to release a patch soon, because it’s really annoying!!! Having to restart my phone from settings every time I use FaceTime (which is a lot!) is not going to work.

I have this very same issue - it tells me one cal is ending and another one was declined. I cannot reboot my iphoneX in the regular way (i.e. holding volume up and right side button at the same time) - it takes me to phone app, which won't quit. I can start Settings app, but I cannot scroll all the way down in the settings, so i the setting you are referring to is beyond reach. In fact, I cannot open any setting in the Settings app, it seems like it is frozen too. I can force quit and reopen the Settings app all in vain with same exact result. Please advise.

This happened to me when I was in a secluded area, with no navigation and no call allowed, this is a really serious issue. This happened to me on iphone X and also in iphone XS. @apple please solve this.

Its just not up to the apple quality ! This is annoying, irritating and really a hard stop.

Go to SETTINGS/GENERAL....scroll all the way to the bottom to SHUT DOWN.....that will shut down your iPhone...then turn it on again...it should be OK.

This was the only option to shutdown the phone. All other normal means did not work. Could not kill the app, or even use the hard restart (vol up / vol down / hold power).
