Lately I've noticed App Store (audio) has drained 84% of my battery in the last 24 hours and it has only been open 2 minutes. Is this a bug in the new iOS? I noticed my battery was draining ridiculously fast even after I was asleep at night and there was no use of the cellphone.

I had the exact same problem as everyone is describing. Was told to do a factory reset so I did that then restored an old backup to get all my old data back. The problem persisted so I took it to the Apple store today and they said I should do a factory reset again but instead of restoring it from a previous backup, go to settings, general, reset, 'erase all content and settings' . Then when it starts back up click 'set up as new iPhone'. DO NOT RESTORE AN OLD BACKUP. It is a bit of a pain to have to re-download everything but if you store data in the cloud its not too much hassle. It worked for me, hope this helps!
Count me in on the "App Store Audio" bug.. Yeehaw, welcome to the country club eh? hahah. Im still digging around the internet to see what others have said. this just happened as of recently. This just recently happened, like within the last few days.. something dont add up..
Ill tell ya what.. yesterday was the first day I noticed it.. I just added instagram.. kinda wandering if thats the culprit... since I read in this thread that certain apps could be considered "App Store audio"...maybe thats the culprit? Who knows.. time will tell. lol. But honestly, up till like a day or 2 ago, my 8plus was just fine.. No im jacked!! just bought it a few months ago..
This actually just started happening to me today. My iPhone 8 runs iOS 11.4 and just today the app store has been accounting for up to 24% of my battery usage, far more than YouTube, which clocked in at 15%. I had used YouTube for 40 minutes today and 3 minutes background. App store was 2 minutes onscreen, no background activity. It just says "audio." Same thing is going on with Safari which comes in third place for most energy used at 12% at its height. I never use safari on my phone. I'm calling apple support tomorrow. I've read in these threads that the factory reset is not resolving the issue, so I'd rather not do that. Did the issue get fixed ever? Did it get fixed for you when 11.4 came out?

I’m having the same issue. Tried to restart a couple of times doesn’t help. May try my phone in airplane mode hopefully that will stop it as a short term fix.
This has been happening to my iPhone 7+ too. I’m let to believe by reading some other threads that it may have something to do with having an Apple Watch paired.
Yes this is ridiculous - mine does it every few days. I haven't been on my phone the last 2 hours and I come back to see it has drained to 46%. I have an iPhone8. Apple help!!!
Has this program affected your phone badly in any other way, I want the battery life/App Store problem fixed but too scared to download another program when iv only had this phone for 3 days...

No I have never used beta profiles. Prefer to wait on FULL RELEASES
Your correct 11.4 is a beta release. I just checked and I installed 11.3.1. I assumed it was 11.4 so not a beta release
That's great news that they have your logs. Keep in mind that if they find something they won't tell you what it is; it will just be fixed in a future update.
Yes, I will wait for 11.4 but I really hope there is a fix for this there. Glad to that fixed your problem, that give me hope that it will fix my problem too
