dock transparency

In High Sierra my dock is never transparent.

When I go to preferences to uncheck the box "reduce transparency " , the grey dock is transparent. But after restart the dock is again grey.

Every time I must go to preferences. How to make this preference permanent?

See this article macOS Sierra: Display pane of Accessibility System Preferences

When you check the box of increase contrast the box of reduce transparency will have a check mark and will get checked , but that will be automatically set as greyed , even you restart the Mac .

Its quite a normal I am also using this setting .The dock is grey due to what you set in system preferences > general see this article macOS Sierra: General System Preferences

I think it is not normal and a bug. I always had "blue" color in general / appearance , in accessibility increase contracts + reduce transparency unchecked. Never had problems. But since last High Sierra update, after restart the box "reduce transparency" is back checked.

I only want those preference to be saved. That is why it is called "system preferences ", how I prefer to the look of my Mac. I know how to change the preferences, but this one is never saved. I just want a transparent dock , no anthracite menu, no black menu, no high contrast.
