I'm very new to Motion 5 and have been attempting to create a tile effect in which each tile is mirrored to create a wall of mirrored tiles when you zoom the image out. Apparently it's possible on After Effects using Motion Tile but I have not yet found a way too do it in Motion 5. Hopefully I described it well enough. Thanks for any responses 🙂
You don't need a replicator for that - Filters > Tiling > Kaleidotile will do.
A few tips:
Add the Kaleidotile filter to the Group containing the image you want reflected. You will need to adjust the Width and Height parameters of the Kaleidotile to get the appropriate "fit" and use a Camera with the Transform > Position > Z parameter increased (for 1920x1080, expect about 6080 give or take). The closer the camera is to the canvas, the larger the Width/Height parameters will need to be for the Kaleidotile.

If I'm not mistaken, I think you're looking for the Replicator with a Sequence Replicator behavior.
Have you got an example of what you want to be able to do?
Here's an example. As you can see the tiles around the central image are flipped. It seems simple but I can't figure out how to do it on Motion. Thanks 🙂
