Apple TV changes hdmi input unexpectedly

If your Apple TV 4th gen keeps switching input on your TV to Apple TV, and you do not want this, you can switch this feature off on the Apple TV. menu: Settings > Remotes and Devices > Control TVs and Receivers : Set to Off.

The Apple TV doesn't cause a TV to change inputs for no good reason. Personally, I would suggest looking into why this is happening and resolving the matter rather than turning the feature off. One source of the issue can be other devices on the network waking the Apple TV, in which case I'd suggest stopping it doing that or removing the item completely.
