Logitech M570 buttons stopped working when I upgraded to High Sierra

I use a Logitech wireless trackball on my Mac Mini and have had no problems at all until I upgraded to High Sierra. The up and down buttons previously functioned as volume up and down controls. After the upgrade, they don't work at all. I reconfigured the buttons to other functions but can get no response.

Does the new OS just not recognize the extra mouse functions?

I upgraded the Logitech software and it worked!
First big clue: on the download pace, it said there were fixes for Sierra bugs.
Just what I needed!

Thanks again.

Check with Logitech for upgraded software. If they don't have any then try using Steer Mouse instead. Or you can do the following: How to Downgrade macOS High Sierra and macOS Reversion- How to Downgrade from High Sierra.

How To Safely Use MacUpdate To Download Ad-Free Software

This site has both free and paid membership accounts. If you have neither then some software will be distributed as an installer wrapper that includes adware/malware you may not want. Such a download may appear on your computer like this: Firefox Installer.dmg. Delete the download and return to the main site where you will find a direct link to the developer's website. Use that link from which to download the software. Or a simpler way is to establish a free or paid membership to avoid problems getting adware with your download.
