iTunes 12.7.4 photo sync issue

Please add my voice to the many I see who have already expressed concern that iTunes 12.7.4 appears to have a problem that causes the photo sync feature to take a very long time. I have a Windows pc on which I run iTunes, and I sync a small subset of my photo library to my iPad and my iPod. Beginning with iTunes 12.7.4, the photo sync portion of the device sync which used to take mere seconds now takes at least an hour. This is extremely frustrating, and essentially necessitates that device syncs must take place at night. Based on discussion boards, this seems to be a universal problem for people running this update of iTunes on Windows PC's.
