I have a powerbook G4 - Power adapter is broken - Can buy a 65w power adapter - Original was 45 w - Is this OK ?

The use of higher output though otherwise similar power adapter would

be adequate because the device only takes what it needs from adapter.

A generic replacement may be available in your region (this example does

have re-sellers in several locations globally) and would be a fair example:

NewerTech 65W AC Power Adapter for Apple PowerBook G4, iBook G4 & G3

One of my older second-hand PowerBook G4 12-inch 1.5GHz models

has one of these included with it from several years (decade?) ago and

it still works great. These do not have the pilot lamp in DC output plug;

so you cannot tell from that if it's powered. But it works, w/ 65w output.

Due to having other PPC G4 Mac portables, I also have several spare

power supplies, including early 45W for iBook (white) G3. On occasion

I've found good deals at charity thrift stores; & look ahead of any need.
