I have a MacBook Pro 13" Touch Bar with an LG UltraFine 5k display. Since upgrading to Mac OSX 10.13.4 about 50% of the time when I wake the system it flashes black a few times before going to my "normal" display. Has anyone else noticed this?

It may be. There have always been many reports of Sleep related issues but since High Sierra there have been a lot more. I don't know what other advice to give you other than wait it out and see if a future update sorts it.

I did reset the PRAM. I will try the SMC now.
Tried the SMC reset too now. I still have the problem with the screen flashing on wake from sleep. I have to believe this is a High Sierra 10.13.4 bug since that when the problem started.
