Trying to buy Spartan (movie) on iTunes but keep getting a message saying my computer cannot play the title in HD and offers me the SD version instead. My computer has HD (1920 x 1080) display and I'm able to buy any other HD content (although I do recall having this problem before)
Anyone know what's going on...? Thanks folks.
"This film cannot be played on this computer. You must buy and watch this film on an HD-compatible device. Or you can buy the SD version and watch it on this computer"
There is a note at the bottom-left on the iTunes screen saying "To play this in HD, your computer and display must support both HD and HDCP"
Have tried re-authorising the computer. All iTunes playback and download preferences at 1080p. Thanks for your help tt2.
What is the exact text of the error message? Any reference to HDCP?

How is the display connected to the computer? HDMI and DVI ought to be OK. VGA probably not. If you can change the connection method that might sort it.

It's a laptop (under 2 years old) - no monitor attached (I stream via iTunes onto Apple TV).
Hmm, then it really to be OK. Why not make the purchase directly on the Apple TV and stream it independently of your computer?
