What is this icon in Photos edit

when editing a photo in the Photos app there is a little symbol/icon immediately to the left of Revert to Original. I can’t see what it does, hoped it would be split view, original and edited, but it doesn’t seem to do anything. Appreciate an explanation. Thanks

Square corners with star icon in upper right corner of photo in photos I just noticed an icon on the upper right corner of some of my photos that looks like a square defined by the four corners with a star in the upper right corner of that square. Does anyone know what this stands for? Also, some of them have the word “Auto” next to the square. When I tap the Auto, the photo zooms in a little. If I tap it again, it zooms back out. I took these photos with my iPhone 11 Pro... This appears on the same photos whether I’m looking at them on my iPad or iPhone. Haven’t looked on my MacBook Pro yet... Very curious! Any ideas? Thanks!

'i' icon in photos with stars on left side What does the 'i' icon in photos with stars on the left side mean? Some photos have just the 'i', while others have the 'i' and stars.

No. I never noticed it until this topic came up. I would use the "M" key to toggle between edited and original.

I used the "M" key too. But that is now also showing the cropped and straightened version, minus the adjustments. Very strange.
