When I plug in the iPhone into iTunes there is no app menu, after clicking on the phone icon.
How can I view the apps? Before I used to have a visual of the phone page with the apps. Now it is not there. Have they changed this?

I have found the answer after searching for a while. I still can't view the apps on iTunes.
I was able to transfer the apps from the old phone to the new one.
In 2018 you go to
app store on your new phone,
then click on your user icon on the top right hand corner,
click on purchased
click on Not on this phone
select the apps you want to transfer

Thanks for the reply. I eventually found the answer I was looking for. I certainly don't find apple is great with user manuals. A lot of room for improvement.
