MBP Pro 2015 - UI is slow (IntelAccelerator prodding blockFenceInterrupt)

Hi all,

Sometimes my MBP Pro 2015 GUI is very slow, only reboot fix the issue (logout - login not help).

SMC \ NVRAM reset didn't help.

OS: 10.13.4 (17E199) but also issue was in the previous versions

GPU: Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

Processor Name: Intel Core i7

Processor Speed: 2.2 GHz

Errors in the log:

void IOAccelFenceMachine::fence_timeout(IOTimerEventSource *): IntelAccelerator prodding blockFenceInterrupt

MacOS High Siera (10.13.4 (17E199)) reinstallation (downloaded from AppStore) helped me.

Thanks for trying those steps. To isolate this issue further and determine whether this is related to hardware or software, please test to see if the MacBook Pro is running slowly while in safe mode and while logged in to a new user account.

Hi Cris, It's hard to say if it's reproducible in safe mode because it's floating bug.

I think it's relevant to this issue Bad graphic performance after sleep.

I noticed that problem usually appear after sleep mode.

As I understood from the topic it should be solved in 10.13.3, but my OS version is 10.13.4 (17E202)

Already did most steps from this manual.

Also following messages found in the log:

com.apple.SkyLight: Surface test allowed updates after 15 attempts (60 ms)

com.apple.SkyLight: Surface testing disallowed updates for 10 sequential attempts...
