"Welcome to Apple Music" screen

When I open "Music" on my iOS devices and I'm on WiFi or cellular, I'm confronted with a "Welcome to Apple Music" screen that only offers the option of "Continue". After hearing of all the iTunes libraries messed up by Apple Music trials, I don't want Apple Music - I just want to listen to the music in my iTunes library.

If I open "Music" in airplane mode, I can go directly to my iTunes library without any problem.

How do I make this "Welcome" screen go away without starting Apple Music? (I've already gone to settings to change the "Show Apple Music" setting; that has no effect.)

Alternatively, what happens if I "Continue"? Does it initiate an Apple Music trial?
