no audio when screen recording on safari

My iPhone 8 running IOS 11.3.1 won’t let me record audio in safari like no audio from the screen. (Not from the mic) I can’t hear what is happening on my screen.

Why can’t I screen record audio? I’ve been having issues with screen recording. The videos always record fine but a lot of the times, the audio will not record. I typically screen record from Twitter, YouTube and various places on Safari. Sometimes the video audio will record but sometimes it won’t. I’ve heard of turning on the mic but that picks up way too much background noise to be effective.
