Mac OS 10.13.4 wake up screen glitch

Nothing so far. I reset the NVRAM, SMC, and reinstalled OS twice. Waiting for 10.14 I guess. But in the meantime, call Apple to report the glitch! Take a video! Have a senior advisor send the link so you can send the video to engineers. We have to report directly to Apple, not just here to try to get them to do something about it.

I have still the same display glitch problem after Mac wake up. I have a Macbook 12 Inch (Early 2016), I updated to Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6 and since the update I do have the problem. I reset the NVRAM and reinstalled OS 10.13.6 twice, and the problem still going on.

Apple is winning time by telling you through support to reset, reinstall etc...

But they know about it (they just want to save money).

We pay the price for these devices so it is not bearable that they have such issues.

I have the same exact problem! I thought it was just my computer, I did not know others would have it/ it could have to do with a software update. Does anyone know if it has been resolved or has anyone's been fixed?

Hi, I have the same issue with my MacBook Pro 13" bought in late 2016 with no touch bar. Most of the time when I open it after the stop mode, I see a glitched screen like yours for few seconds and this problem started around January 2018. It's been also few weeks that I see a sort of quick flash on the screen when I watch Netflix, for example. I went to the store where I bought it to have it checked and the guy from the assistance told me that they have found some problems with the GPU. Since he's a friend of mine he suggested to monitor the Mac, see if I still can work with this problem (basically I can, it doesn't show up with any program) and maybe wait for some upgrade because it will cost me around €500 to have it fixed. Since it's a lot of money and I didn't get the guarantee extension when I bought it (😠😢) I decided to wait but I'm currently thinking about getting it fixed or maybe wait until the release of macOS Mojave and hope for the best.

I got a brand new MacBook Pro 2018 as a graduation gift, and this wake up glitch occurred frequently with that new laptop. Since then, I have replaced it three times, and each new laptop I received has had the same exact problem. I have no idea what I should do and I am beyond frustrated

This happens to me on my MacBook Pro Retina 2015, but sometimes after a restart too not just sleep mode. It only seems to work properly now when I boot in safe mode. Of course, Apple claims that my computer is water damaged, which it is not but they can get those red lights to turn on just by wishing it so, so they won't help me, but I know it is a software issue and I want it patched!!!! If it isn't happening in safe boot, then it can't be a hardware problem. How have people been commenting on this post for almost 4 months and no one has done anything to fix it!!

Ugh. I guess we all have to wait for 10.14. But still, I implore everyone to call into Apple, after having taken a video of the staticky screen, and ask for a supervisor and get them to send you the link to send attachments so they can send it to engineering. Squeaky wheel, ya know? We can't just write on these boards. We have to tell THEM about the dissatisfaction. So annoying on a $1500 new computer.

I am having this problem as well. Ive taken it to multiple Apple stores and noone can fix the problem. My laptop, post sleep, has a flicker at the top, the mouse delays and the screen takes a while to appear on the screen. After a few minutes it will return to normal and act as if there is no problem. Some days it takes longer to return. I NEED A FIX !!!

Has anyone tried the new Mojave OS? Has anyone experienced a screen flicker when waking their Macs from sleep while running Mojave??? I would like to know before upgrading to Mojave as I've seen a lot of people having problems trying to install it.

Yeah I can’t do that as I use high performance software design programs which need to use the high performance graphics card when necessary. What I would like to know is whether upgrading to Mojave has helped with the screen static issue.

I'm on mojave and i'm experiencing the same issues. Called apple and they told me that they have no patch at this point in time. Only solution for me is to switch the automatic graphics switching off as my use is more moderate.

MacBook Pro, no problem as far as I can remember before, but I'm on Mojave now and I got this - and it won't go away. Took photos and a video of it. The computer is not frozen - I can move around the distorted cursor with the trackpad.
