boot camp usb There is not enough space available on the disk.

Similar to many others, I am not able to create the bootable USB using BC. I get the above message. I am trying only to load the 64bit version of the iso (file size 3.3 gb) on to a 16 gb Kingston usb. I've everything I've read online yet still getting the error. I've tried 3 different Kingston usbs, ranging in size from 8 to 32 gb. Nothing seems to work.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My next step is to wipe my entire iMac drive, reinstall HS, and start over but I thought I would check here before doing that.

Thanks

If you are running the Sierra Installer application when booted in High Sierra, you will run into issues.

See How to create a bootable installer for macOS - Apple Support . If you create an installer, and boot from it, and connect your external target Sierra disk, you should be able to install Sierra.

The other option is to use 2 USB2 flash drives and a PC to build your own USB installer.

Thanks for your help, so far. So, I created a Sierra installer disk, created a startup Sierra USB, started up in Sierra, and am trying to run Boot Camp Assistant, putting a Windows 10 iso on an 8gig Kingstonl. Get the same error message. Not enough space. Get thru Formatting Selected Drive. Then says Your bootable USB drive could to be created. There is to enough space available on the disk. Any other ideas?

I redownloaded, tried the Bootcamp Assistant, received the same error of not enough space (trying still on an 8gb USB. Was attempted under Sierra, not High Sierra. Here is the output of the MD5:
