I am trying to add an srt file for subtitles to an mp4 but I cannot find a way to merge the two files and play it on quick time. I need it in an mp4 for work. I have tried Handbrake and VLC.
I really appreciate any help with this.

Thanks for the reply. I have installed Handbrake before and after messing around with that (and purchasing isubtitle for no reason) I was able to get the srt burned into the mp4.

Apparently not many on this forum have experience with SRT file use in iMovie, that would account for the lack of response. I've not used SRT myself, so can't really comment. You might try googling your question. You should get several hits on SRT use with a Mac.
