samsung 860 evo ssd install

Hey,


I've just bought a samsung 860 evo ssd into my macbook pro 2010 but it won't read it however it can see but not working. There is no firmware update to this ssd yet as i could find.

Please tell me how to make it work.

Try it in an external enclosure.

If it works there, that implicates something about the Internal slot in the computer, typically the SATA cable.


These cables are subject to abrasion (and shorting) against the machined aluminum inner surface, and stress fractures of the printed "wires" where they make a sharp bend.
