4K,60fps video(HEVC format) be shot by iPhone X can't be airdrop to MacBook Pro without converting to H.264

I can't airdrop the 4K, 60fps video(be shot by iPhone X) from iPhone X to MacBook Pro without converting the format from HEVC to H.264 which takes a long waiting time for converting.

All the software on both iPhone X and Mac OS version are up to date(20th May. 2018), I've tried to change the setting in "Photos" and set the "transfer to Mac or PC" as "Keep Originals", but the result was same.

Looking forward to get the help on this from community, thanks!

Hello Allen,

Thanks for helping me out!

It‘s intertesting, when I have AirDrop between 2x iPhone X, no need for video format converting if transfer HEIF or HEVC media. Hopefully in next Gen. software, Apple can have the compatibility detection function prior media transffer via AirDrops between iOS and MacOS devices, that will be supper handy for users, and save time for us.

No worries, my iPhone’s flash memory won’t exceed 256GB, I’ll just using Airdrop to transfer the small video clips that I shot by daily basis, so it is much easier if using Airdrop to transfer it to my Mac, I will definitely using cable to transfer it if single video clips over 100GB.

If using the iCloud photo, all my photo libraries which is over 500GB in my Mac has to be fully uploaded to the cloud server which is not cost effective to me to buy the iCloud storage.
