Facebook & Linkedin login from MAC not working

Hi All,


I'm owner of a MAC BOOK PRO 2017, I'm running 10.13.4 High Sierra OS, and since few days MACOS is asking me to enter again the FACEBOOK and LINKEDIN password.


If I try to enter the password by clicking the notification, the answer is always that "is not possible to verify the password", in the past I fixed this by entering the password in the setting account menu.


This time Facebook and Linkedin don't want to work, I tried to re-install the accounts in ACCOUNTS setting but nothing.


My suspicious is that is something related with the new GDPR privacy law here in Europe, or a missing consent somewhere...

I'm having the same problem, Facebook and Linkedin asking for a password, and then for the verification SMS again and again in a loop. None fixed for me for the time being.


In the past I already had problems with Facebook and the notifications, every time something happened, it said 59 events had happened 😀


So far I tried to…

  • Restart several times, also in safe mode
  • Delete preference files and everything related to these two networks
  • Delete every item in the Keychain related to Facebook or Linkedin
  • Delete the accounts and add them back again - it looks like it working until you try to do something, the it asks you again for the password.


Twitter works fine. It's just Facebook and Linkedin.
