Blank thumbnails and photos in shared photo albums

Some thumbnails and photos in iCloud shared photo albums are blank. Others had this question months ago on closed discussions - here's my fix.

On your iOS device, go to Settings > Photos > iCloud Photo Sharing and toggle it off, then back on, to force the albums to be re-downloaded.
