Bypass Lock Screen by pressing notification twice

I’ve noticed that pressing the notification on my iPhone 7, then pressing the “zoomed” version of the notification takes me straight past the lock screen (without any touch ID).

Surely this is a problem - am I missing something ? I can’t see any option to set this to happen deliberately. I have the latest IOS.

A lot of people press the HOME button, then a notification, and it goes right to the app. If that's what you mean, when you press the HOME button with a finger you have registered with Touch ID you unlock the phone.”

This is without touching the home button at all. If I touched the home button and it unlocked I would not think it was an issue...
