Do I need the lastest version of iTunes in order to restore my iPad?

My iPad Mini 4 is disabled and I need to connect to iTunes to restore it, since my computer is windows vista I was only able to update it to iTunes 12.1.3, is it possible to restore it with that version?

Reset iPad after being disabled Hi All, I've followed the instructions to try to reset my iPad, but when I go to the update or restore it is looking for the software on my computer rather than downloading. How do I get iTunes to actually download the software I need to restore my iPad. I don't care if I have to do a full hard reset and start over. thanks, BK

The current version of iOS for your device would be iOS 11. iTunes 12.1.3 cannot be used to restore iOS 11, you need iTunes 12.7.
