SSD start up disk not recognised after NVRAM reset

Reset NVRAM to try and solve self rebooting issue and now the SSD disk installed is not recognised and now using the original HD as start up. In system preferences the SSD is not listed but disk utility recognises the SSD drive. I have also done a first Aid on the drive - no issues reported.

Any suggestions how I direct the Mac to use the SSD as start up as it was before the NVRAM reset.

System was up to date before NVRAM reset.

Appreciate any help on this.

Cheers

Hi

It's a OWD ssd and 1tb I think. It's been working for at least 18 months to 2 years no probs. In disk utility I noticed that it shows the disk but as 0 capacity which is not correct. `~~~~~Wonder if a re-install of High Sierra via disk utility is the answer, so that it is recognised and then I can set it as start up drive. Data on the disk should be readable if not I have a Time Capsule back up.

What you think?
