Watch ESPN App on Apple TV does not properly authenticate
We are running into an issue where we try and authenticate the ESPN app (Watch ESPN) on a brand new (FW fully updated) Apple TV 4K. The app prompts us visit the ESPN activation site es.pn/tvos, there we select our TV provider (Charter Spectrum) and enter the activation code, from there, the site should bring us to Spectrum/Charter to login to our account, it does not and simply says that activation was successful. We then get a message on the Apple TV that says "Playback could not be started", access to this program is not included in your Spectrum TV subscription. This is 100% not true as we have full active subscription and watch ESPN every day on this subscription. We have also tried using other TV providers account that we have and have run into the same thing every time. With all other apps they successful activate after having us login into the Spectrum account, ESPN seems to be the only app activation that does not properly work. VERY FRUSTRATING. We are about to return Apple TV and simply get a cable TV box at this summer home...
Apple TV 4K software is 11.3 which says it is up to date. ESPN app is also up to date.
We have completed reset the Apple TV and started from square one and all other apps were successful again except for ESPN.
