iOS 11.4 battery drain

If your battery is over 2 years old it will need replacing make an appointment at Apple store.

Hi, it’s a new battery and that’s not the problem, it’s a software problem .

It’s nothing to do with external chargers. It’s an OS bug that crept in in 11.4. Just seen a post by miniman to turn off: Settings/Phone/Calls on other devices.

May do the trick hopefully.

Please disable calls on other devices though Wifi in settings > Phone. This solves the issue

I turned that off along time ago. It’s definitely a bug with wifi

2nd iOS 12 public beta resolved this for me. Are you sure you tried the latest beta?

I was using the second build and it did drain the battery, now you might have a different batch then what I had.

Okay this is definitely doing way better. Although I’m using the low band WiFi I’ll eventually test the high band.

Same problem here. I just bought iphone7 and was amazed by its battery life(2days for me), but after update I have to charge every day as was with my old phone-.-

Likewise I noticed on WiFi the battery is getting hot. That would point to heavy CPU use

I recently replaced the battery for my 6s. After the 11.4 update, my battery is draining like crazy. Surprisingly Apple has not even issued a single fix or statement about this.

I switched off location services and left WiFi on. I now get good battery life.

11.4.1 is available !
