Wifi not working with iOS 11.4

I upgraded to iOS 11.4 and since then wi-fi doesn't work.

It's on on the control centre and in the settings menu I see the name of the network next to "wi-fi" as if it was connected, but when I go into the wifi menu the switch is off and I cannot turn it on.

I tried everything, from resetting network settings, to turning off network assist and the Wi-fi networking on location services, and nothing worked.

Also tried to set up the phone as new and the problem was solved, but then when I restored the back up I got the same issue again. I'd really like to avoid having to set up the device as new, because I don't have enough space on the cloud for everything on my phone, so I'd lose content anyway and I don't want that.

Anyone else with the same issue?

Do you think the next patch will fix it?

Yes, I'm assuming the iOS version has something to do with this issue, because before the upgrade to iOS 11.4 everything worked just fine, and now it doesn't. I would say this has to do with some interaction between the upgrade and the data that was already on my phone, no? So possibly a patch will fix it?

I know several other people with the same exact issue and I don't think we all have the same corrupt app or data - but we all have iOS 11.

my only two week old iphone X with iOS 11.4 is freezing and lagging when it gets wifi issues, so assume it has something to do with the update too

Definitely a problem with 11.4

I have two iPhones (one is for work ) and have upgraded to 11.4 on only my personal phone. Work phone connects immediately to my home WiFi while my perphone will not

My 7plus everything is working well after upgrading to 11.4 so I surely don’t feel it’s an issue with 11.4

Hi,

I had an application for free wi if called Bezeq wi fi that blocked the unsecured networks. The problem was solved when I deleted the app.

i fixed this by disabling "ask to join net work" after that was turned off it joined again automatically, i think the update sets that switch on, which causes all the issues.

This just worked for me.... take off the "ask to join network" button. After I turned it off i joined again WiFi automatically, i think the update sets turned this option on. Good Luck!!

Yeah... same here very disappointing,I upgraded to IOS 12 beta, I figured if it’s not gonna work properly I might as well be on an upgraded beta.

Not sure if I should upgrade or not, Apple might break even more things on my phone.....

The same here, ipad 2 air dropping wifi every x minutes. An iphone 7 and 6s does not do it.

Waiting for an update, as my ipad is not usable anymore...
