iPhone 6 Carrier settings gone, constantly searching.

Hey all, I hope someone can actually help me with my question as this has been an on going issue for weeks now.

I first noticed my iphone 6, 11.4 iOS, was searching for my network and tried to fix it by visiting the discussion page and looking at solutions, however my carrier settings disappeared so I google'd more solutions, I have done everything suggested to me, I have reset and backed up, factory reset, reset my network settings, checked the sim with the carrier etc and everything is fine and working. I even recently sent the phone away to be repaired back to Amazon and it has came back, it worked briefly actually with the carrier settings returned and network connection HOWEVER when I restored my photos/apps/settings etc from iTunes onto the phone the problem came back, the searching in the top left continues and the carrier setting has disappeared again.

I get a wifi connection, and a 'Three WIFI Call' Network on it, in mobile data > carrier services > i can see the carrier services which allow me to contact Three, my network but there is no 'carrier' settings in the settings homepage.

At this stage I am fed up, I have done everything apple has suggested and spent a lot of money trying to get this issue fixed. PLEASE If anyone has any further suggestions or ideas let me know.

Thanks,

-Jac

Reading your descriptions you said you've already tried to restore your iphone to factory settings, then set it up as new, right?

Well, if the iphone is working fine (the carrier settings appear) without restoring your data from your previously made backup, you can exclude a hardware failure, but your carrier settings MUST be available in the settings homepage.

If they are not there, only the carrier can help you (insist to talk to a Three's chief technician).

Then, if restoring from a backup, the iPhone "looses" carrier settings, your data could be corrupted.

One last attempt: Do you have Restrictions enabled?

Should be this case, check:

Settings>General>Restrictions>... scroll down to "account" and/or "mobile data"... tap there and allow modifications.

Please keep me informed

Im having the same problem.

I have an iPhone model MGCY2LL/A, it is an IPhone 6 Plus A1524that was purchased and used on Sprint. I want to use it on Verizon Network. I have gone through all of the steps to unlock the phone and when a SIM card is inserted it says Searching or No Service. I have had reset the phone to factory via iTunes. I have reset the network setting and tried everything I’ve read about. I’ve called Verizon and Sprint. Sprint says it’s unlocked and Verizon says it should work on their end. I have been to two different Verizon locations. Everyone says it should be working but it’s not. Here’s where the story gets interesting. After the phone had been restored to as new Phone via iTunes Apple came out with iOS 11.4 update. So I put my SIM card in and downloaded and installed the update and BAM! I got
Verizon signal, made a call and received and sent a text.

Feeling cocky, I connected the phone back it iTunes and set thephone up using a backup.(So I would have all my apps ect.,on my phone). The phone goes back to searching/no service.I have again set it up as new iPhone and reset networks setting. Completely erase and restore to new. Tried everything and still searching/no service. I’ve concluded that the phone is not carrier locked. That it will connect and work on Verizon. I think it has something to do with the carrier settings.

Any suggestions on what to try next??

Hey, Thanks for taking the time to reply. I checked my restrictions like you suggested, all are on Allow anyways so there is no issue there.

I just once again tried to restore my phone using an icloud back up, again I connected to 'Three Wifi Call' but when wifi is turned off it continues to search, and once again there is no 'Carrier' settings in my settings page.

Im really not sure if my data is corrupted on all back ups, I'm not sure how this happens or how to recognise this as a fault but without a backup all my apps/photos etc will be lost, I will try contacting my Carrier once more and get back to you.
